The girls' school was sponsoring an evening at a local rink & so I took the blond & brunette roller skating last night. What fun! Giddy to be with their friends from school, the girls could not get their skates on fast enough. It was the first time I truly experienced, "Gotta go be with my friends, Mom. Bye!" and off they went. They would barely stop to let me get a photo, but they graciously stopped for a few seconds to let their dear old mom capture the moment. When it was time to go, the girls asked if we could come back tomorrow, but trick-or-treating trumps roller skating. I'm sure we'll be back in the near future, though.
